What the labels on a listing mean
Understand Claimed, insurance, response, rating, and other profile labels.
A listing shows facts that are on record. A paid plan does not add a license, and paying does not raise the earned search score.
Common labels
- State license on record: an active state license is on file. Check it yourself before hiring.
- Claimed business: someone from that business has taken the listing.
- Unclaimed: the business may not have created or approved the page. Public-record information can be old or wrong.
- Insurance verified: proof of insurance was reviewed. The page can show the month it runs through.
- Books online: the business accepts booking requests from its page.
- Fast responder: the business has at least three quote-request replies and usually replies in under 60 minutes.
- Top rated: during the last 90 days, the listing has at least five published reviews and an average of 4.8 or higher.
- No reviews yet: the listing has no published reviews.
Stars use published reviews only. A review hidden by staff does not count.
Paid and earned labels
Featured is paid placement. Certified Partner on a public listing is earned. Neither label promises the quality, safety, price, or result of the work.
