Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 2, 2026 Last Updated: October 15, 2026
MyExpertPros respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use MyExpertPros.com, our mobile applications, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”).
MyExpertPros is a registered fictitious name/DBA of Design Develop Now, Inc., a Florida corporation. In this Privacy Policy, “MyExpertPros,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Services.
This Privacy Policy applies to homeowners and other consumers, service professionals and businesses, team members using business accounts, visitors to our websites, and users of our iOS and Android applications.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in several ways: information you provide directly, information generated when you use the Services, information provided by a business account that uses MyExpertPros, and information obtained from public or lawful third-party sources.
A. Information You Provide
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- name, email address, phone number, and account credentials or authentication information;
- business name, trade name, service categories, service areas, business description, license information, insurance or credential information you choose to provide, and other business profile information;
- addresses, job-site information, customer records, appointments, notes, estimates, invoices, payment status, and other information entered into the business software;
- quote requests, project descriptions, preferred scheduling information, photos, attachments, and messages;
- reviews, ratings, responses, profile content, and other user-generated content;
- information submitted when you claim an existing business listing, including information used to confirm your relationship to the business;
- billing and subscription information; and
- information you provide when contacting support, submitting a privacy request, reporting a problem, or otherwise communicating with us.
B. Payment Information
Payments and subscription transactions may be processed by Stripe or another payment processor identified at checkout. We may receive transaction details such as the amount, payment status, transaction identifier, payment method type, billing contact information, and limited payment metadata. We do not intend to store full payment card numbers or card security codes on our own systems.
Service professionals using MyExpertPros may also use integrated payment functionality to accept customer payments. Those transactions may be processed through Stripe Connect or another disclosed payment provider.
C. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type and version;
- device type, operating system, and app version;
- device or application identifiers;
- pages, screens, features, links, and actions used;
- referring and exit pages;
- date, time, and duration of activity;
- crash, diagnostic, performance, and security information; and
- approximate location inferred from an IP address.
If a mobile feature requests access to your device location, camera, photos, files, or notifications, the app will request the relevant device permission where required. We use information obtained through those permissions only for the feature described when permission is requested. You can change device permissions through your operating-system settings.
Technician location during a shift. When a business turns on time tracking, the mobile app can collect precise location while a technician is clocked in. If the technician allows location access all the time, collection can continue while the app is in the background or the screen is locked. Collection stops when the technician clocks out. The app does not collect this shift location while the technician is off duty. Owners and people with dispatch access at that business can see the live location and the route recorded for that shift. A customer tracking link, when the business sends one, shows progress toward an assigned job and does not include that recorded route. The business uses this location to dispatch work, notice arrival at an assigned job, and keep a route for that shift. Location is not used to decide pay. Recorded routes are kept for 90 days, then deleted. MyExpertPros provides this software. Your company is responsible for using time and location tracking in line with the employment, privacy, and other laws that apply where you and your team work. A sample may stay briefly in our application database until it is archived.
D. Public and Third-Party Business Information
MyExpertPros may create or maintain unclaimed business listings using information available from lawful public sources, including government licensing databases, public business records, business websites, and public directories. This information may include a business name, license number and status, business address, service category, and other publicly available business information.
An unclaimed listing does not mean the business has created an account, endorsed MyExpertPros, or entered into a paid relationship with us. Businesses may claim a listing and may request that inaccurate information be corrected.
E. Information Provided by a Business Customer
A service professional or business using MyExpertPros may upload or enter information about its own customers, employees, technicians, subcontractors, or contacts. In those circumstances, the business is generally responsible for determining why that information is collected and for providing any notices or obtaining any consents required by law. MyExpertPros processes that information to provide the Services and for limited platform purposes such as security, fraud prevention, support, billing, legal compliance, and service integrity.
If you are a customer of a business that uses MyExpertPros and your request concerns information that business entered into the platform, we may direct you to that business when appropriate.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts;
- operate directory listings and help consumers find service professionals;
- process listing claims and verify business or license information;
- route quote requests and service inquiries;
- provide scheduling, booking, customer management, estimates, invoices, messaging, payment tracking, analytics, and other business-software functions;
- show a clocked-in technician’s location to that technician’s business for dispatch, arrival, and a route record, without using location to decide pay;
- process subscriptions, payments, payouts, refunds, disputes, and related accounting activity;
- send transactional emails, service notifications, security alerts, account messages, and SMS messages you have requested or agreed to receive;
- provide customer support and respond to requests;
- personalize and improve the Services;
- analyze usage, performance, reliability, and product adoption;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
- maintain records, enforce agreements, protect legal rights, and comply with law; and
- communicate about features, products, or offers where permitted by law and consistent with your communication preferences.
We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to an identifiable person and use that information for analytics, product improvement, reporting, and other lawful purposes.
3. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances.
A. Service Providers and Infrastructure Vendors
We use service providers to host, secure, deliver, analyze, and support the Services. Depending on the feature used, these providers may include:
- Vercel for application hosting and delivery;
- Cloudflare for security, network services, storage, bot protection, and Turnstile;
- Clerk for authentication and account-management functions;
- Convex for application database and backend services;
- Stripe for subscription billing, payments, and connected payment accounts;
- Postmark for transactional email delivery;
- Telnyx for SMS and telecommunications services;
- Google for Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA, maps, address lookup, and driving directions;
- PostHog for product analytics and related product-improvement tools;
- Supabase for archived technician location points;
- Mapbox for office maps and driving-time estimates; and
- other vendors that provide fraud prevention, error monitoring, support, storage, communications, or infrastructure services.
These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for us or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and applicable law.
B. Between Consumers and Service Professionals
When a consumer requests a quote, booking, or other service connection, we may disclose the information needed to facilitate that request to selected service professionals. When a professional responds, information necessary to continue the interaction may be shared with the consumer.
Information a user intentionally places in a public business profile, review, response, or other public-facing feature may be visible to other users and the public.
C. Payment and Transaction Participants
We may disclose transaction information to payment processors, banks, card networks, connected-account providers, and other parties necessary to authorize, settle, refund, dispute, or reconcile a transaction.
D. Legal, Safety, and Business Reasons
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- comply with law, legal process, court order, or a valid government request;
- investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or suspected illegal activity;
- protect the rights, property, safety, and security of MyExpertPros, our users, or others;
- enforce our agreements and policies; or
- complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
4. SMS and Mobile Information
If you opt in to receive SMS messages from MyExpertPros, we may use your mobile number to send the message types described at the point of consent, such as account notices, booking or job updates, customer or professional communications, security messages, or promotional messages if you separately consent to marketing texts.
We do not sell or share mobile information, text messaging originator opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own promotional or marketing purposes. We may disclose mobile information and SMS consent status to service providers, telecommunications providers, carriers, and other vendors only as necessary to provide, route, secure, or support the messaging program.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out of applicable SMS messages and HELP for help. Opting out of marketing messages does not prevent us from sending messages that are strictly necessary to provide a service you requested, where permitted by law.
Where a service professional uses MyExpertPros to send messages to its own customers, that professional is responsible for obtaining any consent required before sending messages and for honoring applicable opt-out requests.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Our websites may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies for security, authentication, preferences, analytics, performance, and other purposes.
We use or may use services including Cloudflare Turnstile, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Analytics, and PostHog. Some of these services receive technical information such as an IP address, device or browser information, and interaction data as part of providing their services.
Where required by law, we request consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. You can review available choices through our cookie-preference controls. Additional details are available in our Cookie Policy.
6. Advertising, “Sale,” and “Sharing” Under Privacy Laws
We do not sell personal information for money.
Some U.S. state privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” more broadly than an ordinary sale for money and may treat certain analytics, advertising, or cross-context disclosures as regulated activity. To the extent those laws apply to MyExpertPros and we engage in such activity, eligible users may exercise the applicable opt-out rights through our privacy-request process or available cookie controls.
We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data or mobile information for third-party marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations.
Retention periods vary by data type. For example:
- account and profile information may be retained while an account remains active;
- transaction, invoice, payment, tax, and dispute records may be retained for the period required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes;
- security and diagnostic logs are generally retained for shorter operational periods unless needed to investigate an incident;
- public-record business information may remain in an unclaimed directory listing even if a separate user account is deleted, where the information remains lawfully available and relevant to the directory; and
- information may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten according to backup schedules.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.
8. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies to MyExpertPros, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or opt out of certain processing.
You may also:
- update certain account and profile information through your account settings;
- unsubscribe from marketing email using the unsubscribe link in the message;
- opt out of applicable SMS messages by replying STOP;
- manage device permissions through iOS or Android settings; and
- manage available cookie choices through our cookie-preference controls.
To submit a privacy request, email info@myexpertpros.com with the subject line Privacy Request or use any privacy-request form made available on MyExpertPros.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by applicable law, subject to appropriate verification.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
9. Account and Data Deletion
Users with MyExpertPros accounts may request deletion of their account and associated personal information, subject to limited information we may need to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, transaction, dispute, or compliance reasons.
For mobile-app accounts, the Services are intended to provide a readily accessible account-deletion option within the app, such as Settings → Account → Delete Account. Users may also initiate an account-deletion request through https://myexpertpros.com/delete-account or by emailing info@myexpertpros.com with the subject line Delete My Account.
Deleting an account does not necessarily remove independent public-record business information from the MyExpertPros directory. It may also not remove content that another party is legally entitled or required to retain, transaction records we must preserve, or information already de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably identify you.
If an active subscription is billed through Apple or Google, deleting the MyExpertPros account may not automatically cancel the store subscription. You should also manage the subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account when applicable.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for promptly notifying us if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts used to enter into service transactions, operate a professional business account, receive payouts, or purchase subscriptions are intended for adults who are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction.
If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of this section, contact info@myexpertpros.com.
12. Mobile App Privacy and Permissions
Our iOS and Android applications may process the same categories of information described in this Privacy Policy. The technician app requests precise location only for the shift sharing described above. Camera or photo access is used to attach work photos. Notifications are used for job, message, account, and shift-sharing updates.
We request device permissions through the operating system where required. You can deny or revoke optional permissions in your device settings. Denying location limits live sharing and arrival. It does not block clocking in.
Information collected by third-party SDKs or services within the app is also subject to the disclosures in this Privacy Policy. Our Apple App Store privacy disclosures and Google Play Data Safety disclosures are intended to reflect the data practices of the applicable app version, including relevant third-party SDKs.
13. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Services may link to websites, payment services, maps, business websites, or other services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and provide additional notice when required by law or when changes are material.
