How the 1% payment fee works
See how the business fee applies to online and recorded payments.
Every successful payment includes a 1% MyExpertPros fee. The business pays this fee; MyExpertPros does not add it to the customer's invoice total.
Online payments
For card or bank payments made through the customer pay link, the payment goes to the connected Stripe account and the fee is included in the payment flow.
Recorded payments
Cash, check, Zelle, card, bank, or another payment can be recorded after the customer paid outside MyExpertPros. Recording a card or bank line does not charge the customer. It only updates the invoice and payment list.
The business owes 1% of a recorded payment. The Payments page shows the balance. A refund can create a credit that comes off the next fee. The owner can pay the balance by card when it reaches $0.50; a smaller balance waits. If a fee payment is still processing or is canceled, the balance remains due.
